  1. #Webdev. I’m working on a new book, and after having assembled about 800 terms I think it’s fair to mention: The Web Development Glossary. Interested in getting updates? leanpub.com/web-development-glossary. I view this as community service, so it will start “pay what you want.” More soon.

#Webdev. Much enjoy and appreciate @Anusha_Narasimh’s review for the #WebDevGlossary: “I would recommend this not just for developers, but for anyone working in a software development team because everyone in the team needs to be aware of the concepts.” reedsy.com/discovery/book/the-web-development-glossary-jens-oliver-meiert

An update on the #WebDevGlossary: * It now covers 1,572 terms and abbreviations. * The generated output is 178 pages. * Remaining todo items: 228. It’s a lot of mechanical work but people, our field is great and glorious. Mere scanning of the Glossary will show that.

The initial #WebDevGlossary manuscript is—done 😅 At this point it covers 1,897 terms and abbreviations on about 233 pages. I’m thinking about releasing a “pay what you want” beta version while I tweak this with my editor. Thoughts? I’m exhausted, but also quite excited.

I’ve hit the 1,000 terms and abbreviations mark, and the #WebDevGlossary is growing, fast. How useful is the glossary going to be for you? I get mixed signals, but the goal is that anyone, not only a newbie, could use it to get a great overview over web dev—and related fields.
