  1. I maintain an overview of all the elements of the main HTML versions: HTML “1,” 2.0, 3.2, 4.01, 5.2, and “living” HTML, plus XHTML 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0. As XHTML 2.0 never became a standard, it seemed more useful to remove it (cf. archive.is/tkfxJ): meiert.com/en/indices/html-elements/

      I’ve liked some of the ideas behind XHTML 2.0 (just think of <h> and <l>!), but the worst thing that this change really means is this: It’s now clear that instead of 3, there are 4 letters that there are no HTML elements for: G, J, Y, and Z 💥
