Would XHTML have led to better markup today? I think not: XHTML was just as poorly-written as HTML is today. There’s a reason why it was always shipped as text/html. I deem it more accurate to say XHTML threw us back 10 years. It wasn’t all bad—but still a giant detour. @aburone/1553630199266377730
